Two smashed chuck-brisket patties sealed around a molten core of aged Wisconsin cheddar, charred onions, house pickles, toasted brioche. Let it rest a minute - it's lava in there.

Started in a garage off 109th. Still cooking like it.
The Rusted Fork started in 2014 as a smoker, a folding table, and a stubborn idea: that the northern suburbs deserved better than chain food. Founders Dana and Mike Kowalski sold brisket sandwiches out of their Blaine garage on Saturdays until the line wrapped past the neighbor's driveway - twice.
Ten years later, the smoker's bigger and the dining room has walls, but the rules haven't changed. Patties get smashed to order. Walleye comes from Red Lake. The wild rice is the real, hand-harvested kind. And the tap list stays loyal to Minnesota brewers, because they were the first ones to believe in us.
The name? That's the actual fork Dana left clamped to the first smoker through one full Minnesota winter. It hangs over the kitchen door. It's seen things.
